creativeCreative Zen MP3 Players

Creative has been building some of the most technically advanced media players for close to a decade. Creative was an early pioneer with many of their features and continue to innovate today with the newly released Creative MP3 players. They were one of the first to combine both audio and video in a portable player and have continued this tradition with their current lineup. They offer several models in various capacities and all of their Creative Zen MP3 players have a full list of advanced features that put them at the front of the pack for portable entertainment. These players represent the perfect combination of features and value at a great price. Also, with the release of the new generation of players, you might still find one of the cheap Creative Zen MP3 players from old stock that a dealer has discounted. All of the latest Creative Zen MP3 player reviews have raved about the new release.

Storage Capacity – There are several models available in Creative MP3 players and they span various capacities from 4GB all the way up to a 32GB model. Within the product families there are several capacities to choose from and give the buyer the ability to balance capacity and cost. If you are a casual user and want to spend less, the smaller 4GB or 8GB capacities offer you the ability to carry thousands of songs and video content on your player and still keep the purchase price low. You get all of the features of the higher priced models, just with less capacity. If you plan on loading up a lot of video files, the larger capacities would be better for you since these video files take up considerably more space than audio files do. All of these players are based on Flash storage technology, which is solid-state memory. This memory is very durable and will give you years of trouble-free operation in even the harshest conditions.

Movies and Videos – The Creative Zen MP3 players accommodate both Audio and video content and allow you to take your entertainment on the road with you. The nice thing about the Creative MP3 players support for video is that they can accommodate a wide variety of video formats. Unlike many other players that require you to convert your videos to a specific format, the Creative Zen MP3 players can play them just as they are. This can save you a lot of time and make transferring your content to the player easier. Also, it can reduce the wasted disk space on your PC since you won’t have to keep several copies of the same file around in case you want to transfer it to the player. The Creative MP3 players also give you a few choices as to how the video is played. You can view your movies and videos in wide format or standard format to match whatever content you have. The Creative Zen MP3 players also have the ability to store and display pictures and allow you to take these with you to share with family and friends.

X-Fi Technology – Creative has included an audio enhancement feature called X-Fi. This technology will equalize your MP3 files and give the sound a clearer, richer playback. When files are compressed using MP3, they tend to lose their high and low frequencies and everything evens out in the middle. X-Fi actually augments these frequencies and really makes your music sound amazing. It does this in the player and will work with any headphones you may have. The difference it makes is amazing and will have you hearing things in your music you may not have know were there before.

FM Radio – The Zen MP3 players also include an FM tuner. This is a nice bonus and gives you an alternative to the music and video you are carrying on the unit. This FM radio comes with 32 presets that you can tag with your favorite stations to make it easy to find them. It has a very sensitive receiver and will allow you to catch the news or the latest weather when you are on the run.

Wireless – Some of the Creative MP3 players have the ability to stream your content from your PC to the player over your Wifi network. This means you can be anywhere in your home and watch a movie you have saved on your PC in the office. You can even stream audio files as well and enjoy them in your back yard through the Creative Zen MP3 players. This is a pretty unique feature among media players and really sets the Zen MP3 players apart from the rest. The ability to stream content over your Wifi network to your player means you can really enjoy your content anywhere you happen to be in the house.

Instant Messaging – Some of the Zen MP3 players have the ability to send and receive instant messages. The Creative MP3 players can connect to Yahoo Messenger or MSN messenger and let you keep in touch with friends. It needs a connection to your Wifi network to do this, but will work fine anywhere you happen to be as long as you are in range. It will also work on public Wifi networks as well and allow you to connect and chat when you are traveling.

Built in Speaker – The Creative Zen MP3 player comes equipped with an internal speaker. This speaker will allow you to enjoy your music or video content without the need for headphones. This can be handy if you are relaxing and just want to sit the player down, or if you have a friend that wants to enjoy the movie with you.

SD Card Slot – The Creative Zen MP3 player has an SD card slot on the top that allows you to add extra memory to the player to expand its storage capacity. You can add this card in a variety of sizes and store any of your content on there for playback. You can even insert a card with content on it already and enjoy it on the player. This is a great way to empty an SD card when you are traveling. You could slip the card from your camera into the Creative MP3 player and transfer the files to its internal storage and then use the empty card to take more pictures.
